Providing a range of co-curricular opportunities is important to us because we value each child’s individual skills and interests, and we want to give every opportunity for students to grow and further their potential.

Sport

St Therese’s Catholic Primary School Denistone employs a specialist PE teacher one day per week. External providers conduct specialist programs in dance, gymnastics and swimming. Every student in Years K–6 has the opportunity to attend sport gala days. These include soccer, touch football, netball, rugby league and league tag.

Lunchtime Clubs

As part of St Therese’s Catholic Primary School Denistone commitment to providing differentiated opportunities for children, lunchtime clubs have been created in the following areas:

  • Chess (facilitated by Sydney Academy of Chess)
  • Gardening
  • Art
  • Passive/Creative Play
  • Robotics

Creative Arts

St Therese’s Catholic Primary School Denistone employs a specialist Creative and Practical Arts teacher one day per week, with a focus on Music and Drama. Children also have opportunities to be involved in specialist programs, including Dance, Drama, Music and Voice provided by Sydney Catholic Schools Performing Arts (CaSPA).
